OMG, I stalk drag queens. It's horrible, but as you may know, BLACK PANDA needs a REASON TO LIVE.
Last night I collected another queen to add to my collection - none other than the winner of RuPaul's Drag Race herself, Ms. BeBe Zahara Benet.
If you had not known, BeBe is the subject of a documentary that is three years in the making. The filmmakers staged a benefit on the Bowery to finance their project. Cover was $10, but the meeting of a superstar was invaluable.
BeBe's first masqueraded performance was very 3D as she hopped off the satge to meet and greet the very die hard BeBe fans that braved torrential downpour to make the event. Does anyone know what song this is?
After that first prance BeBe zipped away for a quick wardrobe change and come back with a heat-wrenching rendition of "The Greatest Love of All" by Whitney.
She turned it out with that head piece ensemble.
It was only a matter of time before my stalkerdom would reach another notch on the scary scale. And when the time came, I had to do it FACE FACE FACE style.
BeBe loved the shirt, which was inspired by her "rhyme" from Drag Race. She thought it was "too gay".
Me: BeBe, I'm afraid it's too big...
BeBe: What do you mean?
Me: The Shirt... I'm afraid it won't be cute on you...
BeBe: Oh oh, I will put stones on it...
Me: Work it out...
BeBe (to her documentarian): Did you see the shirt he made...?!?!
A philanthropist at heart, FDP/SQBF helped to raise more money for the documentary by bidding and winning two items in the silent auction - one of which was BeBe's book "Bella Donna".
So, you know when we won, we had to get it signed...but of course.
Yes, I think she thought I was crazay.
But I'm not. The question still remains, though - who will be the next queen to collect? I already have Nina, Akashia, and BeBe... I'm going to Asia next.
Ms. Ongina girl, this Drag Queen Stalker 4 RIL got your number.
Everyone gets the same amount of time in a day.24. How, then, do some manage to squeeze every minute out of those hours and make them work to their advantage? With only so many hours in one day, how am I supposed to live, work, AND create? Clearly, one thing is going to suffer. Or not. Maybe it's about finding the balance amongst the three. Living for art, living for love, living for kitty tats... what is worth living for these days? Not to get all Sartre on you, but don't you ask yourself that sometimes? For me it varies from day to day. Love and art and kitties and work ... just the shuffle of daily life, I suppose. Cuz when it comes down to it, it ain't all sweet. And there are bound to be some cat assholes in the mix. But cha got to keep at it and work like a robot. Work to make the dollaz. Work to live. Live to create. To work. To live. To create. To dollaz. To create.... (keeps on going) Then sometimes you find something (and/or someone) that makes the sour stuff and the pussy assholes so much less toxic. Creativity becomes important and you remember how much fun it is to make. and live ... and (maybe) work.
... Lilfirsbee peer pressured me to take place in this art show and so I created this 3ptline piece about the WHH. Kinda helps get the gears going for HK. Gotta work on HK. Maybe then I'll find a reason to live.
Speaking of which, The Chamber of Secrets is going well. Not very far into it at all, but it's entertaining enough. I'm really just reading it to get to the later books - where people die and shit.
Artner so called out my new kicks as fake Y-3. She is so right too cuz I tried on some Y-3's at the store in soho, but did't want to buy them since they weren't high tops. These Diesel makeshifts are fine not as high tops - what do you wnat for $45?
Isn't it cool to get things for free. Like Japanese meals, or Jamba juices? I try to get things FF when I can, but sometimes this backfires. Then they get my stuff FF. Since my Origins is almost out I'm either going to have to get some samples FF, though I'm kinda over doing that. Good thing I called my hook up because if you can't get it FF, it's best to try to get it for discount. free!
It got ril dark. We had just come from a fair high in the mountains. The altitude was different and light headed-ness had kicked in. Panda was tired. Should we smoke? Nah, let's just enjoy the bamboo. What's for dinner? Oysters? Yum. Exotic for the jungle. Let's drive. Vrrrrm. Vrrrrrm. SCRREEEECH.
The biker that I almost hit with the Jeep, 198-RIL, was not wearing any gear. No reflectors, no helmet. Not his fault though. Damn altitude. What was he thinking when I climbed out of the car and pandaed "Sorry..." What did he think when he looked in the passenger side and saw a female of the species?
"You wouldn't be sorry if you hit me..", he said. I still don't know what that means.
Last Sunday the artners went to gay pride in Denver. Unlike the parade in NY, the Denver event was stationary in a downtown Denver location blocked off by government buildings and park grounds. The event was pretty forgettable... alot of tacky merchandise for sale and cheesy acts. Sorry Denver. NINA, however, bring brought it. Again. Check this video , edited as it may be. Damn Flickr! I'm going to have to get the whole thing on You Tubes.
Deuteronomy Madrid is one of the many personalities of your beloved, queer author. The moniker of "Deuteronomy" (the fifth book of The Bible) was adopted because of the author's fascination and respect for Jewish males all over. DM's family includes such notables as Bleekah-Madison Madrid, Niimura Katsutoshi, Yuko Propaganda, and Lexicon Reyes. He has worked for the Fergie, the Dutchess of York, not the humpy hip-hopstress, and is credited as the cover designer for her fabulous diet book, Energy Breakthrough.

“Homosexuality, is regarded as shameful by barbarians and by those who live under despotic governments just as philosophy is regarded as shameful by them, because it is apparently not in the interest of such rulers to have great ideas engendered in their subjects, or powerful friendships or passionate love-all of which homosexuality is particularly apt to produce."” –Plato
