I've BEEN seeing Piggy in my neighborhood. The last time I saw here was last weekend on my way to the train station. There she was hanging our with all that junk.... a little bit of pork gold amongst all that copper, glass and ceramic crap. I saw the beauty though... wearing her weave and that Lanvin S/S 2006 piece. She even held a flower. Unfortunately, I couldn't rescue her from the bizarre bazaar that day since I was all crutched up. I had to wait one whole week. Yesterday I went down to fetch this pork rindy goodness piece of gold and now she's all mines. Piggy is mines. mmhmm... Love her.

DuYun was fab tonite at the Cornelia Street Cafe where she performed with Gareth Flowers and Phil Moffa. She did about 10 pieces that traversed the gamut and evinced disparate inspirations ranging from jazz to cute chinese hip hop pop. Incidentally that song was about communication on the cellular level, and yet it sounded like something out of Bristol, England in the mid nineties.. or at least from a chinese take-out place in Bristol. Trip hop ni hao. Then there was the gutteral "Angel's Bone" (libretto by Royce Vavarek, of Dog Days fame), in which DuYun moaned and screamed about a partner who "likes it rough" and clearly "can't get enough". I can honestly say that she is unpredictable and original. Go see her if you can!

Big Plans for a Newborn Gay Creation

MEN was great last night at their show in BK. JD brought it with the geek chic trans power as did her bandmates... is that they dyke version of James Iha? The opening acts of "Creep" and "No Bra" certainly lived up to their namesake, but in the end left me seated in my private VIP yawning. "No Bra" really should wear one. I loved that there is something LeTigre-ish to latch onto right now. I really miss them and the days of jumping on stage thrashing band equipment. Hey - maybe that's how my knee got all fakatah. Oy... whatever, I've gotta fuck my best.

HAWT

The movie was hot and heavy. Heartbreaking to see Igor's wife endure his infidelity, but hot between the sheets with Chanel. I recommend the film not only for it's beautiful photography, production design, cinematography - basically entire use of the film medium, but also for it's attempt to show the struggles of two tremendously creative people - as friends and enemies. Did I also mention that the sex was hawt?
