For those that don't know, DRAMA DRAG is THE drag show hosted by Miss Nina Flowers in Denver, Cahroraro. If you don't know who this incredibly talented, artistic LOCA is, well then, you're just not watching your LOGO.

The night was amazing, replete with go-go boys, ba-dragas, and your usual swish swash of mid- west homosexuals. LIC and Inwood were in the house (thanks to the BP Jeep, 198-RIL). And not for nothing, but we brought that shit - we brought it HARD core.

The special guest at this week's DRAMA DRAG was none other than the ghetto princess herself, AKASHIA, from Rupaul's Drag Race.



This is a picture of Akashia as she rolled up to the venue. She looked alot like "New York" and was sporting a nice, unbeweavable wig. I told miss thing to "WORK AKASHIA!", but she just pranced by.

Akashia opened up with Circus by Britney Spears... and then did some video ho song later on. Her peformance was Akashia-esque - stank and vulgar. But that's why we love her, right?

Later on in the evening we caught up with AKASHIA herself. She never made it into the VIP lounge b/c she was hitting on the staff at the venue. We felt like we had just hopped into the television.



Are you checking out that booty?? After we snapped some pics (see the gif down below this entry), AKASHIA went on to massage the staff. Looks like she wanted to massage their staff with her booty.

Me: (upon departure) "WORK AKASHIA!"
Akas: (to the staff) "So what are you doing after... are you having fun working?"

The main draw to DRAMA DRAG, of course, was to see Nina Flowers do her thing. She FUCKING KILLED IT.

Her second of two performances was to RuPaul's "Don't be Jealous of my Boogie". Don't you love her jester couture? Everything about the performance was amazing.

With her first performance Nina brought the BITCH out and started the show off right.

After all the queens picked up their hard earned dollars off the stage floor, after they took their final bows and after the crowd started dancing again, the moment came. The moment that Black Panda willed.

Setting - VIP room (we worked our way in there... it helps ot be from out of town)



I showed Nina my shirt that I had made especially for the event that read "Estoy con Loca" or "I'm with crazy girl". She fucking LOVED it.

Me: LOCA LOCA LOCA!!!
Nina: OMG

Me: I made this shirt!
Nina: (speechless and gagging)

I then went in for the sweaty embrace.



After she realized that I wasn't trying to kill her, Ms. Nina agreed to take a picture with me and the shirt.

After taking the oh-so-necessary photos, I showed offered Nina one of my shirts.



She gagged...............and gagged... and gagged.

Me: Nina, do you want this one (pointing to the shirt I was wearing) or this one (referring to one that I had magically whipped out that read "FACE FACE FACE"

Nina: Oh my GOD, you made one for me (very flattered and flustered)
Give me this one (pointing to ESTOY CON LOCA), that one (FACE FACE FACE) is for BEBE. Oh shit... did she just say that?



So, I took the shirt off my back, of course.



and gave it to Nina with lots of love.



Then I jumped her again and embraced until the MYSTERIOUS BLACK HAND grabbed her away.

Nina: You are so adorable.
Me: Work Loca. I love you loca.



Then I was half naked in public. Just another day in Denver, I guess.

I was at a thrift store recently and I saw a vintage DANGEROUS tour T. Didn't get it. Then days later I saw a small figure of MJ in Thriller. Din't get that either. Was someone trying to tell me something? I'm so saddned by MJ's death. It's really surreal. and u n b e l i e v a b l e .

In Boulder hanging with artner. Yoko woke us up this morning with some Ohayo Gozaimasu shit. Damn. Last night MJ died. So hurt. You and me... IN SPAIN. There will never be another like him. Getting ready to pick up the GPS in Denver since they didn't have it yesterday. Black Panda is mobile with a JEEP. She thinks it's like two kids rolling out of a stolen ride. I think we're at war in a tank. Hilar. Going to se this bitch tonite. Fucking LOCA. Love it.

A predator took my iPod from my apartment last night. They crept in like aliens and stole the music from my life. FDP came to the rescue and kept me safe all night.

This is the weird iPod that i dreamt about last night. It had some weird glitchy thing on the side where sparks sparked. I always liked the gold nano. This one was a bit hectic though.



To attempt to console myself, I bid on and subsequently won this exclusive iPod shuffle. It's gold and from Avon. Will it help? I don't know. I miss the pink one. Today I'm all pink, but no iPod.

That's it, I'm done. I've transformed this trauma into a creative effort and I have to let go. Have alot to look forward to in the next two weeks... I' ll just have to make new music happen for myself.

The Queen and I

WHH was last night The Scholar and I attended The Isabel Toledo show at FIT. TOO FAB. TOO MUCH. I STILL CAN'T. Not only were we hobknobbing with Fashion's glitterati, but we got out photo taken on the red carpet as well. Work it out.

The poor lighting of this shot does not clearly illustrate how Amazing the show was. I had known of Isabel's work as a fashion designer for a while now, but what I had not known was how prolific and experimental she is as a creative person. The work made me wet with delight...

... as do Ruben's illustrations. HIs wispy lines and textures brush stokes definitely float my boat. It is amazing to see his work around the actual garments and then think about the collaboration between the two. Process feeding process. Love it.

Perhaps my favorite piece of the evening (or just one of them). I love the shape and the peek-a-boo sheer quality of it all. The hood is fab too.

This was The Scholar's favorite piece of the evening. Or was that just a lie that she told Simon Doonan? lol.

Something must be said for all of Isabel's PANDA help with the creation of her marvelous pieces. I thought it was fitting to have a pic of BP the Toledo Unit in the exhibition next to The Dress. You know, THE DRESS.

And of course, as with any fashion opening, the trannies and the tranny chasers were OUT. It was a veritable who's who of NY fashion that night. Some out spottings included: Austin Scarlett, Simon Doonan, Kim Hastreiter, Narcisso Rodriguez, Betsy Johnson, Cecelia Dean, Michael Musto, and Joey Arias to name just a few. See for yourself here.

The night concluded with me being in a Betsy Johnson, Toledo sandwich. It was a fablulous show and we all had to debrief.

Will I turn Red?

So I just took one dose of MAX strength Pepcid AC. Rumor has it that if you take a pill at least 1 hour before drinking, you will not experience the Asian flush (non Asians can ignore that last sentence). Since My jugular tends to pop out when I drink like an unwanted snake... and there are already too many goddam snakes on this goddam plane. I hope that my snake does not pop out this evening. I will be at FIT hangin with the queen's dresser, Isabel Toledo. I know she's into graphic prints, but please not my snake - pretty please?

It's that time of the month again. That or I'm done with MoTW. I am so through with that bitch. OMG so through. I wish I could be more positive about this, but wheat can I say, wasps sting. Sting like bitches. What are you gonna do? When will the maids have their day in the sun?

My emotional state aside, I've been feeling quite shitty. Overwhelmed, bored, subordinate.. perhaps FDP is the only thing that's helping me stay afloat. Him and my Hello Kitty tattoos too. Who deosn't like to wear a little pussy? Surely this bitch does.

I like The Fashion Show too. I mean what am I supposed to do w/o Project Runs? Oh, and I;'m not talking about White Castle. Omg MoTW gives me the runs. Who even says that? MoTW?? Geez. This bitch is really fucking up my shit. I need to start Monday exceedingly positive. Maybe I need to spark some sage in her space. Like her twat. God get huh.

I saw Departures this evening. It was soo good. Funny and poignant. FDP sys it was one of his favorite movies ever. I believe him.

The movie was such a good picture of life in the Japanese countryside in my opinion. Just works on so many levels.

It's now Saturday morning. Where am I going to dance? I need to dance tonite. But where?



I need to dance it off... but im not huggin git out - not with that bitch.
