Phenomenal

Diva as usual. That's was Erykah was last night. She made us, the crowd, wait. She teased us with an extended extended version of her intro, making us wonder if she was finishing the lost Harry Potter book backstage. She made us chant her name. But it was all worth it. All worth it.

She came out in a black trench and a top hat that kinda harkened back to her opening act, Janelle Monae. The costume was shed later in the performance and Erykah became a beam of light on the stage. Did I mention that her jewels were FRESH? I mean, com'on feather shaped golden earrings?! Stop. Stopitnow.

As usual, she had complete control over her singers and her band. It was as if they were all part of her body.. little fingertips of creativity that she extended at her will. The music was phenomenal.

She did some of her new songs, but rocked the old ones too... *Bag Lady*... But maybe my favorite part of the concert (maybe not - so many to choose from) was when she performed I WANT YOU from Worldwide Underground. The girl is on fire. So Creative and a huge inspiration.

So much more to discuss, but it will have to come later... until then, go get her new album...you won't be disappointed.
